\nI’m following the path God laid for me.<\/em>
\nI took his hand when I heard him call<\/em>
\nI turned my back and left it all,<\/em>
\nto laugh, to love, to work, or play.<\/em>
\nTasks undone must stay that way.<\/em>
\nI found that peace at close of day.<\/em>
\nIf my parting has left a void<\/em>
\nthen fill it with remembered joy.<\/em>
\nOf a friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,<\/em>
\nand yet these things I too will miss.<\/em>
\nBe not burdened with times of sorrow<\/em>
\nI wish you the sunshine of tomorrow<\/em>
\nMy life’s been full, I ‘ve savored much,<\/em>
\ngood friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.<\/em>
